Perform professional level accounting work, which includes judgment in applying established accounting policies, procedures and regulations. Prepare daily transactions to fund the State's obligations; administer deposits system; train state agency personnel on banking product upgrades, as well as any new bank technology; receive and audit revenue from all state agencies; and apply State Treasurer's Office approval. Maintain official statewide receipt and returned item databases; collaborate with State Auditor's Office; prepare stop payment documents; verify and reconcile outstanding warrant file on WOLFS to Treasurer's Office records; redeem state warrants daily; compile reports from bank containing electronic receipt of dollars for state agencies; assists agencies with e-portal implementation; and research deposit discrepancies. Research, analyze and monitor various bank accounts. Point of contact for all banking issues. Human Resource Contact: Deebs Sullivan ************ ********************** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level. * Perform professional level accounting procedures necessary to receive and audit revenue from all state agencies. * Audit receipt and transmittal document to electronic records on WOLFS for accuracy of dollar amount applying State Treasurer's Office approvals to documents following verifications. * Maintain official receipt and transmittal system (Deposits Module) for statewide reference, as well as verification of information requested during statewide audit. * Produce essential reports ensuring accuracy of income realized. * Work with state agencies to implement e-portal transactions. * Analyze and monitor transactions of depository bank with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of all transactions. * Administer depository bank related issues. * Verify and reconcile outstanding warrant file. * Account and reconcile returned items received from bank. * Develop and maintain formal procedures in the Financial Accounting Division. * Serve as a back up for positions in the Financial Accounting Division as needed. Preferences Qualifications Preference will be given to individuals with banking, finance, and financial accounting experience. Knowledge * Knowledge of State Personnel Rules and associated federal laws. * Knowledge of banking industry. * Knowledge and experience of the state accounting system (WOLFS). * Accounting and records management. * PC software applications.
