AUDIT DIRECTOR
Location:Denver, CO.
Compensation:$170,000 - $195,000

What We're Looking For:
- CPA license required.
- 7-10+ years of current or recent financial statement audit
experience within a public accounting firm.
- Prior significant supervisory experience required.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
(GAAS).
What You'll Be Doing:
The Audit Director is responsible for developing suggestions to
improve client internal controls and accounting procedures,
advising the client on various economic and regulatory risks in a
specific industry field of expertise, identifying financial and
non-financial performance measures, formulating, and communicating
the audit plan, answering complex questions involving GAAP and GAAS
and composing technical consultation memos on engagements.
Additionally, you are a critical part of the office's Audit
leadership team and will be involved in the direct supervision,
problem resolution and delegation stages of the overall audit as
well asnetworking, and business development.
Essential Duties:
- Manage and supervise external audit engagements in accordance
with relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance
standards.
- Assisting with managing, developing, and mentoring professional
staff.
- Set the culture for engagement team.
- Build and manage client relationships.
- Proven ability to grow client portfolio and meet challenging
client requirements while providing exceptional service.
- Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of GAAS; identify
audit risks and areas of concern through review of audit
engagements in order to ensure audits are completed in accordance
with GAAS.
- Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of GAAP; applying
these principles to client transactions, documenting, and
communicating an understandingand application of these
principles.
- Applies advanced knowledge and application of standards,
policies and technology that guide effective and efficient delivery
of quality services and products.
- Identifies and communicates to management and audit committee
suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting
procedures.
- Adhere to the firm's values and code of conduct.Competencies:
- Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a role
model to managers and staff.
- Possess proven excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
- Possess excellent people development and delegation skills,
including training/instruction and engagement scheduling and
budgeting.
- Possess executive presence - need to be able to be primary
contact for the client, prepare and present presentations to
clients and potential clients.

- Able to substantially take charge of entire engagement.
- Able to resolve complex accounting issues.
- Able to be responsible for business development and
marketing.
