Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and
motivated Permanent Controller to join our dynamic construction
team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all financial
operations of the company, including managing cash flow,
supervising the accounting department, and ensuring the accuracy
and timeliness of financial statements. The ideal candidate will
have a strong understanding of GAAP, audit experience, and the
ability to streamline processes and procedures to optimize
efficiency. This position requires a Certified Public Accountant
with a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting,
specifically auditing. Responsibilities: Oversee cash flow planning
and reporting to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
Supervise the Accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of
all accounting systems and functions, including internal controls
and financial procedures. Review and ensure timely preparation of
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide
meaningful insights on financial performance and variance results
to executive management to keep them informed of the Company’s
financial status. Maintain Trade Partner/Vendor compliance to
ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards. Develop
and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to
ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Supervise the
accounting staff and manage the team to ensure that work is
properly allocated and completed promptly. Oversee Accounts Payable
functions, including approving weekly cash outflows and
streamlining processes/procedures. Responsible for general ledger
preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and
the support of budget and forecast activities. Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience
in public accounting, specifically auditing. Advanced knowledge of
GAAP. Strong communication skills - both oral and written. Audit
experience – both internal and external. Demonstrated ability to
oversee Accounts Payable functions, including approving weekly cash
outflows, and streamlining processes/procedures. Proven experience
in overseeing an Accounting department to ensure proper maintenance
of all accounting systems and functions, including internal
controls and financial procedures. Experience in reviewing and
ensuring timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial statements. Ability to provide meaningful insights on
financial performance/variance results and keep executive
management informed of Company’s financial status. Experience in
maintaining Trade Partner/Vendor compliance. Demonstrated ability
to develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and
procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Proven ability to supervise accounting staff and manage the team to
ensure that work is properly allocated and completed promptly.
