Senior Accountant Northern Colorado | Hybrid | Full-Time About the Senior Accountant Opportunity: Our client, a fast-growing and collaborative manufacturing company based in Northern Colorado, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! What You'll Do as a Senior Accountant: Key Accounting Oversight (50%) Review and approve reconciliations for bank accounts, fixed assets, capitalizations/disposals, and the general ledger. Analyze and ensure the accuracy of accrued expenses and promotional allowances tied to distribution partner sales. Payroll and Journal Entries (15%) Oversee payroll entries on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring they are reconciled and accurate. Review and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries for compliance and accuracy. Monthly Financial Analysis (25%) Conduct in-depth review of monthly P&Ls and identify reclass opportunities. Ensure financial statements reflect the business accurately and are delivered in a timely manner. Team Development and Process Optimization (10%) Support and mentor junior accounting team members by explaining accounting concepts and reviewing work. Collaborate on improving accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy during month-end close. What We're Looking For in a Senior Accountant: Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting practices including reconciliations and tie-outs. Must have prior experience with inventory accounting and a background in manufacturing. Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFs, and complex formulas. A collaborative team player who can provide constructive feedback and uphold deadlines with professionalism. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant: Familiarity with SQL databases is a plus. Experience with public company financials, including SEC reporting support and audit prep, is highly valued.
