Role: The Outbound Financial Specialist will receive inbound calls and initiate outbound calls to build and strengthen relationships with BlueFCU members. Accountable for discovering, anticipating and meeting their financial service needs through the active promotion, sales and delivery of our products and services. Professionally and accurately performing financial transactions for members, and cross-sells credit union products and services to help members achieve their financial goals and the e-Branch achieve its sales goals. Additionally, the e-Branch Outbound Financial Specialist performs department functions to ensure efficient operation of the e-Branch, and is actively engaged with the member, continually focused on providing a quality member service experience. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Achieve monthly/annual individual sales and member service goals in order to contribute the -e-Branch and organizational goals. Explain, promote and sell all products and services to current and prospective members. Analyze current member relationships and proactively contact members with recommendations to help them achieve financial success. Assists as needed within the e-Branch team to exceed member service experience. Explain and expedite the opening, closing, transfer, and rollover of loan and deposit products and services. Completes all required quarterly/annual product knowledge exams and mandatory trainings. Participates in all trainings/meetings and sales and service development activities. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, adheres to security and internal control procedures. Experience : Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Education: A high school degree or equivalent. I nterpersonal Skills : A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Other Skills : Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet. Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess a service orientation and be willing to sell products and services. Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously in an effective manner. Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.). Has the focus, persistence, positive outlook, and discipline to meet the personal demands of a sales/service role.
