Job Description Req ID: 2019-12051 Locations: Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States Job Type: Full-time regular Travel: No DESCRIPTION: The Publications/Training Specialist has the overall responsibility to handle all provider/client publications, web postings, responding to Wyoming Department of Health (Wyoming Medicaid) communications/requests, user documentation, and development of Computer Based Training (CBT) courses. In addition to this they are responsible for developing and conducting Wyoming Medicaid training for all the Conduent staff and Medicaid State Agency employees. MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Uses current graphic design technology and computer software packages to produce reports, manuals, proposals, instructional material, brochures, catalogues, hardware/software documentation and graphic presentations. - Compiles, organizes rewrites and edits Operational Procedures, System Documentation and other source material provided by technical and non-technical staff. - Reviews, edits and formats official letters and documentation. - Ensures publications are well written, grammatically correct, accessible and completed on time. - Formatting, editing, production of Provider Publications (Wyoming Medicaid Provider Manuals and Bulletins). - Conducts basic training on Medicaid's covered services and billing requirements and the Medicaid Management Information System for new employees. - Conducts training for call center agents, including call masters, systems, policy, etc. - Provides an overview of Operations to the Systems Department, i.e. programmers and business analysts, to broaden their knowledge. - Coordination of bulk mailings, both physical mail and email. - Ensures that all contract requirements for program communications and print materials are met or exceeded. - Maintains version control on all published materials, documents and forms. - Develops Computer Based Training (CBT) courses for Medicaid providers and Xerox staff and monitors course completions via Learning Management Software (LMS). - Works with technical resources to maintain and modify internal and external web sites, serving as the key resources for layout and content. - Addresses Wyoming Department of Health inquires within one business day. - Support Call Center activities - handle inbound phone calls; assist with difficult inquiries, etc. - Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED: - Excellent grammar and spelling skills. - An eye for detail and be very accurate in their work. - Exceptional organizational skills and decision making ability. - Detail oriented with a commitment to quality, confidentiality and accuracy. - Ability to prioritize daily tasks along with special project demands. - Strong time management stills. - Demonstrated writing proficiency, e.g. accuracy, clarity and stylistic consistency. - Ability to work independently, but as part of a team concept. - Must be a self-starter and self-motivated. - Proficiency in the use of personal computers (Microsoft Office Suite preferred) and related publication software applications. Excellent Microsoft Word experience. - Excellent attendance (prompt and dependable). - Ability to troubleshoot and work through technical problems. - Strong customer service orientation. PREFERRED: - Associates Degree - Experience in writing articles, manuals and editing content for accuracy and consistency - Previous training in software used to format and publish materials - Iimagination and good visual sense - Previous call center training experience - Experience with web design or exposure to HTML code - Previous experience with mail merging and bulk mailing helpful SENSITIVITY OF POSITION: - Works with protected health information (PHI). - Has access to confidential personnel Medicaid information.
