Job Description Job Description Summary The Early Childhood
Infant Lead Teacher plays a vital role in creating a nurturing,
joyful, and well-organized classroom environment. This position
leads a cohesive teaching team, thoughtfully coordinates curriculum
experiences, and oversees the daily rhythm of the classroom to
ensure every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
Our Lead Teachers have a strong understanding of children’s
cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development and use this
knowledge to create engaging, developmentallyappropriate
learningexperiences. They foster a warm, stimulating atmosphere
wherechildrenare encouraged to explore, grow, and build confidence.
Strong communicationis at the heart of this role. Lead Teachers
build trusting relationships with children, families, and team
members, provide guidance and mentorship to classroom staff, and
partner with families to support each child’s success. Duties Lead
by example by modeling best practices, coaching team members, and
fostering a positive, collaborative teaching environmentto ensure
consistent implementation ofroutinesand safety practices. Design,
coordinate, and implement engaging classroom curriculum using
developmentallyappropriate practicesthat actively engage children
and promote social, cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
Observe, document, and assessdevelopment to guide curriculum
planning. Perform and supervise daily caregiving routines including
diapering, toiletingassistance, handwashing, and feedingin
accordance withhealth, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Build
strong partnerships with families bymaintainingopen and consistent
communication through daily conversations, progress updates, and
parent–teacher conferences. Ensure daily classroom operations meet
full compliance with all Colorado licensing, health, and safety
requirements. Maintain a healthy, safe, and nurturing classroom
environment by upholdinghigh standardsfor hygiene, cleanliness,
supervision, and security. Demonstrate flexibility in daily job
assignments and classroom responsibilities,
willinglyadjustingduties and schedules as needed to support
classroom operations, staffing needs, and the overall success of
the program. Maintain an active andaccurateProfessional Development
Information System (PDIS) account, ensuring all requiredtrainings,
credentials, and documentation are current and in compliance with
state licensing and quality improvement requirements. Actively
pursue15 hours ofongoing professional developmenteach
yearandmaintaina personal growth plan to support continuous quality
improvement. Requirements High School Diploma/GED PDIS Credential
Level 1 (or PD Plan to complete) Minimum of 1 year of professional
child care experience. Commitment to a minimum of 15 hours
professional development each year employed. High energy. Ability
to work well with others. Strong oral and written communication
skills and basic computer skills. Infant/child CPR and First Aid
certification. Must clear full background check. Must pass health
