Description: Martin/Martin Wyoming, Inc. is looking for an
entry-level structural engineer to join our Structural Engineering
Group in our Cheyenne office. This engineer will work for multiple
project managers on a broad range of project types. This position
will focus in multiple markets and will include opportunities to
gain a wide range of engineering experience. A typical work week
can include engineering calculations, drawing development, site
visits, etc. Projects are typically in the Wyoming and Northern
Colorado region but can sometimes take us nationally, offering the
opportunity to travel. This position allows for interactions with
owners, architects, contractors, etc. early in your career along
with opportunities for marketing activities. We operate in a

Responsibilities Include: The following duties are illustrative
only and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
- Knowledge and use of computer design and graphics
software.
- Completes design calculations for project components.
- Prepares drawings and details.
- Familiarizes self with products and construction
procedures.
- Assist Project Manager in Construction Administration including
checking of submittals.
- Checks shop drawings and product submittals.
- Focuses on design of project component tasks assigned by the
Project Manager.
- Calculates and checks dimensions.
- Work overtime, when necessary.
- Communicates with Clients, other team consultants, and
contractors.
- Provides independent field observation during
construction.
- Learns provisions IBC, ASCE-7, and material-specific codes and
how to apply them.
- Completes tasks, as assigned by Project Manager. Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum
in Architectural, Civil, Structural, or related engineering
field.
- Has passed FE Examination
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and instills
confidence in their communication and technical abilities
- 0-4 years' experience Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum
in Architectural, Civil, Structural, or related engineering
field.
- Knowledge of building and material design codes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills
- Committed to client service and a team-based approach
- Experience using Autodesk Revit to produce building
construction documents
- Experience analyzing structures using RAM, SAP, ETABS, or
RISA
- Construction field experience and involved in at least one
project from start to end of construction
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Developing knowledge of layout and assembling project
drawings
- Increasing knowledge of common analysis and design skills,
building codes, and jurisdiction requirements Applicants must be
