Job Description Job Description Akkodis is seeking a Water Engineer for a Direct hire with a client in Englewood, CO. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex water treatment, pump station, and storage facility projects from concept through construction. Salary Range: $140K/Yearly to $200K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Water Engineer job responsibilities include: Lead and manage complex municipal drinking water projects (treatment facilities, pump stations, storage tanks) from planning and design through construction and closeout. Serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships while managing scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and change orders. Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical quality, regulatory compliance, safety, and adherence to QA/QC standards. Develop and monitor project schedules and financials, communicate progress and risks, and ensure successful project delivery and profitability. Mentor and coach engineers and project staff, providing performance feedback and supporting professional development. Support business development by identifying opportunities, leading proposals, leveraging client relationships, and increasing repeat business. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited program (master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 7 years of relevant design engineering experience, including 3 years managing engineering projects (10 years preferred). Demonstrated experience managing municipal drinking water projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, and water storage systems, from planning through construction. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage project scope/schedule/budget, and build strong client relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and project profitability.
