Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with
an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to join our team in Aurora, CO.
This position will work within the Double Eagle program, which
supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7
Operations. This position provides senior-level technical
expertise, analysis, and engineering support for Space Protection
efforts at the behest of our customer. This position requires
strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the
ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The Space
Protection Tactical Operator will serve as a subject matter expert
responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in space operations
systems, monitoring counter-space threats, and executing space
protection activities to ensure operational readiness and mission
success. This position requires expertise in spacecraft operations,
threat analysis, and space protection response coordination on a
24/7 basis during contingencies. Key Responsibilities: • Develop,
coordinate, train, evaluate, and analyze Courses of Action (COAs),
Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Response Options (ROs),
and CONOPS documents related to Space Protection • Coordinate with
Engineering, Operations, and Planning functional areas to provide
vehicle and system vulnerability / capability assessments based on
available threat data • Answer space protection related questions
and educate space vehicle controllers and customers on complex
space protection concepts • Visualize potential threat engagements
and monitor threat employment indications and warnings (I&W) •
Identify, assess, and document system specific vulnerabilities in
flight operations systems based on current threat data • Identify
shortfalls in response capabilities to known and emerging threats •
Monitor and determine gaps in I&W and foundational analysis
capabilities • Submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to mission
partners to enhance understanding of threat systems and
capabilities • Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of
RFI responses for operational reference • Develop black line plans
detailing space protection response options and procedures WHY JOIN

Qualifications • Active TS//SCI clearance with an adjudicated CI
Polygraph • Capability to work rotating shifts and provide 24x7
on-call support during counterspace events, to include nights,
weekends, and holidays as necessary • Experience with spacecraft
operations, ground systems, and space protection • Experience with
operational procedure development and operator training •
Experience with Contingency Plan generation and the Mission
Planning process Desired skills • Five (5) years of professional
experience • Prior experience with Double Eagle program and related
systems • Prior experience with orbit analysis and determination,
Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), Telemetry, Tracking, and
Commanding (TT&C), or Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) •
Familiarity with space situational awareness (SSA) tools,
dashboards, and modeling • Strong analytical and problem-solving

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not

work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits
