State Adoption Campaign Marketing Manager for National Geographic
Learning in the secondary K-12 market, working with an
extraordinary team of marketers, sales consultants, and educators,
you can make a significant contribution in advancing College and
Career Readiness for teachers and students across the country.
National Geographic Learning is committed to providing engaging and
impactful digital and print learning materials to middle and high
school students in their journey toward career success. What you'll
do here: + Strategically focus on targeted large state adoption
opportunities to increase market share for those campaigns + Acts
as an in-market leader for the full campaign with major presence in
the state. Builds strong relationships with sales consultants and
key educator influencers prior to major adoptions. + Responsible
for pulling together key subject area stakeholders and influencers
to act as advisors and advocates, by collaborating with the product
and sales teams. + Attends conferences related to state adoptions
to attend sessions, make connections with educators, seek out
advisors, and monitor competitors. + Studies via web research,
social media, news, and community groups to learn shifts in state
trends, standards changes, and topical state issues for both
administration and teachers. + Works with sales and sales
leadership, product, and product marketing to develop the thought
leadership campaign to drive awareness, and the campaign story for
our product solutions. + Carries out awareness campaigns prior to
the adoption including thought leadership webinars and white papers
related to hot topic issues; email, web, and social media
campaigns; state held events and conferences strategies. + Develops
and monitors the effect of all sales enablement tools. +
Understands our online course solutions in relationship to customer
goals and needs, from onboarding to implementation, and the
competitive ed tech landscape. + Collaborates to develop an
effective presentation working with sales, product marketing, and
customer success. During campaign, influences changes to the
presentation to ensure effectiveness. + With Product Marketing,
trains sales on how to ask qualitative questions to customers to
help us position our programs. + Applies findings from campaigns to
future or smaller campaigns. Focuses 90% of effort on larger state
campaigns. Skills you will need here: + BA/BS, Marketing or
Education field preferred. + Minimum of 6 years of Sales or
Marketing experience. + Proven success in managing and executing
B2B marketing programs for the academic market. + Able to travel
and be in-market for an extended period of the campaign. +
Experience executing data-driven campaigns; experience with program
management and business intelligence software a plus. + Able to
remain agile while successfully managing a high-volume of work in a
fast-paced, deadline driven environment. + Digital marketing skills
covering email, social, and webpage creation. + Strong presenting
skills. + Proficient computer skills. Ability to perform at an
intermediate to advanced level in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS
PowerPoint. Experience in other digital marketing systems. + The
creativity and ingenuity needed to create content strategies that
balance user needs with business requirements. + Strong
interpersonal skills; ability to work well with other team members,
customers, sales, etc. + Experience partnering with creative
services, freelance/contractors, agency partners or other vendors
to develop campaigns. Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience: +
Involvement in the education, publishing, and/or information
industry market(s). + Familiarity with SEO/SEM, project management,
Eloqua, Adobe Creative Suite and/or other design programs, CRM,
