RAM is a leader in custom cylinder manufacturers serving OEM accounts across North America. We require a *Regional Sales Manager* to serve our Central US region. Applicants will be ideally based in Kansas- US.The ideal individual for this position is self-driven and entrepreneurial-minded with the discipline to work without local supervision. They should be open to travel through the region as required, sometimes over weekends. The states to be covered are Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Minnesota.*Responsibilities include: *Developing new clients through the constant pursuit of leads, introductions, and presentations within the territory;Engaging with potential client Procurement and Engineering teams to understand their product, production, inventory, and procurement strategies, and providing solutions that effectively integrate RAM products and services into their operations and applications;Successfully and continuously advancing new relationships into quotations and repetitive orders;Managing and developing existing Customer relationships through regular interaction and customer service;Reporting to head office on customer contact and sales progress to plan and strategize internal support.*Qualifications: * A technical background (education and/or experience) and an understanding of manufacturing, machining, and/or engineered products are required. We will teach you about RAM products, services, and capabilities (and provide engineering support); however, you must be capable of learning what we do and be comfortable talking technical with buyers, engineers, and fluid power specialists. At least 5 years of successful selling experience to OEMs is preferred (knowledge of industry and manufacturing activities in this particular region is an asset); Ability to travel by car and/or air throughout the Western US and a home office as required An understanding of hydraulic cylinders and fluid power systems is an asset;Strong interpersonal and organization skills are mandatory, with the ability to work independently while recognizing your role within a team.*Beyond Qualification.* Strong B2B product selling orientation, from big to small OEMs;The ability to listen, learn, and identify which client opportunities that are a fit for RAMs business.The ability to track each clients sales and/or development progress, and diligently meet frequent follow-up timelines, while methodically and progressively advancing the relationship.A positive attitude with the energy and worth ethic to achieve RAM sales objectives.*About Us.*RAMs core expertise is developing close working relationships with the Engineers, Owners, and Procurement teams of Customers that require cylinders for their unique applications.
