Job Description:

*Now Hiring 1 full time night Registered Nurses for the Laramie Detention Centers!*Position Details:* 36 hours/week, alternating weekends* 6 PM to 6:30 AMThe expectation is to work at the adult facility which houses over 100 inmates waiting for trial or sentencing.Responsibilities: Responds to health emergencies throughout the facility Collaborates with the family nurse practitioner regarding patient status and treatment needed Monitors medication compliance and reports to Health Services Administrator and FNP Follows all Laramie County Policies and Procedures with regard to security and patient contacts Delivers care in accordance with established MedTrust Policies and Procedures Makes referrals to appropriate community resources in preparation for release from custody Communicates concerns regarding patient safety and behavior to appropriate medical and security personnel Communicates the need for special housing to appropriate medical and security personnel Conducts daily rounds on patients and determines appropriate housing recommendations Thoroughly documents all patient encounters in electronic or paper medical record in accordance with MedTrust Policies and Procedures Attends special needs and Medical Administrative Committee meetings with detention administration and mandatory monthly staff meetings with medical staff*Qualifications*Must have an active, unrestricted Compact licenseMUST have 1 year experience as an RNCorrections experience preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Emergency Medicine* Medical-Surgical* Primary Care* Urgent CarePhysical Setting:* Clinic* OutpatientExperience:* RN: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:* Compact State Nurse License (Required)Shift availability:* Overnight Shift (Required)* Night Shift (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Cheyenne, WY: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
