working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Longmont,
Colorado, 80501! Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse Profession:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience License: Valid RN
license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Must have 2
years of NICU experience. Prior travel experience preferred.
Description: Hiring process involves an interview with the clinical
team. There is no involvement from unit management in the hiring
process. All clinicians should be prepared to be in-state for the
week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed
remotely. The unit provides care for Level 2 NICU patients, with a
total of six beds. Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3
babies. Common diagnoses include hypoglycemia, mild respiratory
distress, and pre-term babies. RNs assist with C-sections and
vaginal deliveries, focusing solely on the infant. There may be
instances of caring for stable postpartum mothers and babies;
willingness to learn is essential. Shifts are scheduled for 7 AM to
7 PM. A six-week schedule is created by leadership. Travelers are
expected to be flexible and assist in filling permanent schedule
gaps. All time-off requests must be submitted before the start of
the assignment. There is a possibility of floating to another
facility if census is low. Weekend requirements include 6-9 weekend
shifts over six weeks. RNs may be asked to participate in holiday
rotations. Call and standby requirements are rare and mainly for
low census scenarios. Scrubs are provided in blue. Staffing focuses
on safety based on patient acuity. A combination of NICU and
labor-dominant roles with nurses in the unit is common. The
facility can cancel a limited number of shifts during the
assignment. Charting is conducted using an electronic system. No
specific degree beyond an RN license is required for submission.
