UCHealth, a leader in healthcare innovation and patient care, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room Float Pool. This role is critical in supporting various surgical departments within our Colorado-based facilities, adapting to different teams and environments to provide exceptional patient care. The RN in this position will have the opportunity to work across multiple specialties, employing a wide range of skills and receiving exposure to various surgical techniques and procedures. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning. Provide high-quality nursing care in various surgical environments based on daily assignments. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and sterile. Assist surgical teams during operations while adhering to all safety and health regulations. Monitor patient vitals and condition before, during, and after surgery, intervening as necessary. Educate patients and their families on preoperative and postoperative care. Collaborate with the surgical team to evaluate and improve patient care procedures and outcomes. Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and critical-thinking capabilities. Ability to remain calm and effective under high-pressure situations. Proficient in the use of medical software and surgical tools. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR) preferred but not required.
