This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality respiratory care services and leading our respiratory therapy department's daily operations. The Charge Respiratory Therapist will oversee a team of respiratory therapists, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, manage department scheduling, and provide expert care in emergency and routine patient situations. Ideal candidates will embody our commitment to quality and compassionate care, leveraging their expertise to maintain high standards and improve patient outcomes. Supervise and mentor respiratory therapy staff, ensuring compliance with all hospital policies and healthcare regulations. Coordinate and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Assess patient needs and oversee the administration of respiratory treatments. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Maintain departmental records and documentation for all respiratory therapy procedures. Stay updated with the latest developments in respiratory care and recommend new techniques and equipment. Handle emergency respiratory situations efficiently, ensuring patient safety and care. In-depth knowledge of respiratory care procedures and equipment Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in high-pressure situations Proficient in using healthcare information systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Active state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
