Job Description:
UCHealth, a premier nonprofit healthcare system based in
Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse for our
Emergency Department (ED). This role is pivotal in maintaining
clinical and staff excellence in a high-paced and dynamic
environment, ensuring the delivery of top-tier emergency care to
our community. The Charge Nurse will oversee the operational,
personnel, and administrative facets of the ED, implementing
policies and protocols aligned with our mission of providing
patient-centered care. This leadership position requires a
combination of clinical expertise, management skills, and a passion
for patient advocacy and staff development. Coordinate daily
operations in the emergency department, ensuring efficient patient
flow and high standards of care. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate
staff nurses to foster a collaborative and skilled team. Implement
and review clinical policies and procedures to comply with
healthcare regulations and standards. Assist in managing
departmental budgets and ensure adequate staffing and resources.
Conduct regular training sessions to keep staff updated with the
latest in emergency care techniques and practices. Liaise with
other departments and healthcare professionals to optimize patient
outcomes. Proven leadership and organizational skills Strong
communication and interpersonal skills Expertise in emergency care
and critical patient handling Ability to work under pressure and
make decisions quickly Competence in handling and resolving
conflicts Proficient in healthcare management systems and tools
