The Medical Center of

comprised of six campus in Aurora and Centennial, CO, including the
Campus, North Campus (Behavioral Health and Wellness Center),
Medical Plaza, Saddle Rock ER, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital,

Nurse Coordinator in Women's Behavioral Health under the general
supervision of the
Nurse Manager and/or Director of Nursing the CNC assumes
direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her
shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team,
individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality
care services provided in unit.
--- Assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all
functions during the designated shift.
--- Functions as a resource person for staff member and assists in
necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
--- Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care
provided when s/he is on duty
--- Makes decisions regarding activities with these areas based on
Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative
Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the
unit, in collaboration with other members of the management

--- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered
Nurse; Compact license acceptable but must obtain Colorado RN
license within 180 days of hire.
--- BLS - Healthcare provider through the American Heart
--- ACLS through American Heart Association - required within six
months of hire.
--- CPI certification within one month of hire and re-certification
every year thereafter.
--- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
--- BSN preferred.
--- Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
--- Minimum two years of experience as an RN.
--- Previous experience in charge/supervisory position
--- Education, experience or certification specific to clinical
--- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families,
physicians, and other health care team members.
--- Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality
--- Strong critical thinking skills.
--- Ability to maintain healthy personal boundaries, protecting the
therapeutic integrity of the nurse patient relationship.
