**Deli Clerk Job Description**

As a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will play a key role in helping customers make healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
* Provide high-level customer service in the Deli department
* Maintain food safety knowledge to ensure high standards
* Assist customers with catering orders and provide product knowledge
* Work in a team environment to achieve department goals
* Perform general housekeeping and cleaning tasks
* Operate equipment such as slicers and wrapping machines
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment

**Requirements:**

* Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
* Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
* Be dependable and reliable
* Have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
* Be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Be able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs.
* Be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
* Have a Food Handlers permit and adhere to all safety and health regulations
