program participants. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Family Support
Specialist works to promote the strengthening and enrichment of
Hispanic families at Centro San Juan . This includes envisioning,
developing, and executing programs that provide education and
support for families to foster their full participation into the
abundant life and mission of Catholic Charities. This includes
researching and providing current and relevant program and service
development for families in the areas of communication, parenting
skills, intergenerational relationships, prevention of domestic
violence, and suicide prevention, among others. The Specialist will
develop partnerships with other institutions and lead efforts to
launch counseling services at Centro. Also, the Specialist is
responsible for recruiting, training, and providing the tools
necessary for teachers and volunteers; will keep records of
attendance and grades as needed and will establish and maintain
public and community relations to learn and share about existing
programs through Hispanic Ministry networks and Centro San Juan
Diego. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Program Research, Implementation, and
Organization Conduct community needs assessment and research and
develop programs aimed to address specific needs as they relate to
family, relationships, and social/emotional matters throughout the
Archdiocese of Denver and the Hispanic community. Review and
implement innovative ideas for existing programs on an ongoing
basis. Provide hands-on assistance in direct collaboration with
teachers and volunteers including student registration, fee
structure and collection, curriculum development and research. Be
able to multitask and delegate tasks to maintain efficient
operations of the program. Organize regular meetings with agencies
& partners, teachers, students, movements & apostolates, to
maintain communication and understanding of expectations. Review
and revise the existing website for the program to accommodate
students’ and teachers’ use. Leadership and Public Relations
Connect with existing agencies, apostolates and resource partners
that offer services in the same field. Organize communication and
marketing of the programs with other agencies & partners, teachers,
volunteers, and students. Supervise all programs and services
offered under his/her role and responsibilities. Closely supervise
the work of teachers and volunteers. Promote programs and services
and recruit students. Manage complaints and student issues. Recruit
and train teachers and volunteers through an orientation process.
Communicate clearly and regularly with staff, teachers and
volunteers on organizational events and activities. Effectively
work in a team environment. Demonstrate commitment and high
professional standards. Generate and maintain good public relations
with agencies & partners, parishes, apostolates, and other
Archdiocesan entities, as well as media for marketing and
promotions. Represent the organization well by serving as a role
model for the students. Program Budget and Development Prepare the
annual budget and maintain accurate records on an ongoing basis.
Submit expenses and revenue related to the program. Adjust and
implement appropriate fee structures for the classes. Review
accounting records for the program. Requirements Be able to
understand and include Catholic Doctrine on specific topics,
according to the course or program, using methods geared toward the
audience’s faith development in a classroom setting. Incorporates
good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Maintains an appreciation of sensitive information. Possesses a
strong work ethic. Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently. Responsible for
planning and organizing program events. General understanding of
the Catholic Latino experience and ability to effectively work with
people from diverse cultures. Demonstrates commitment and high
professional standards. Required knowledge of Microsoft Office
products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
and Zoom. Proficient in the use of technology and social media.
Bilingual required; fluent in Spanish and English (read, write, and
speak). Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in a related
field such as social work, psychology, human services and/or 2-4
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary:
$58,000-$60,000 per year Training: We provide a robust training

Sabbatical Leave Program: Employees who have completed seven years
of continuous full-time service are eligible for a paid sabbatical
leave to support rest, renewal, and professional or personal
growth. Eligible staff may take 4 weeks of sabbatical leave. 403b
Retirement Plan with Agency contribution of 4% & match up to 2% of
annual compensation. Choice of 3 PPO Medical Plans (90% of
employees' and 75% of dependents’ premiums are paid by the Agency),
Dental, & Vision starting the 1st day of the month following start
date. May be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through
Federal Student Loans, and many more benefits. Part-time employees
(20-29 hours per week) also receive paid annual leave, company
