The IT Operations Manager for Blue FCU is responsible for projecting, promoting, and sustaining an atmosphere that sets the standard for collaborative team work and quality member service to our credit union members both internal and external to our organization. This position is responsible for the success of multiple information technology functional areas, and the general supervision and security of all outsourced IT services including; virtualization software, hardware, and operating systems utilized by a credit union customer. The IT Operations Manager will maintain a proficient information technology department and demonstrate the essential team work skills necessary to maintain all electronic systems which may require diagnoses, troubleshooting, and general support for credit union or a financial services enterprise. This position is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and planning of the credit unions technical systems including, but not limited to network servers, data storage services, network operating systems, data backup, recovery systems and data access security. The IT Operations Manager oversees the testing, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and development of operation and maintenance procedures. REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE Five (5) plus years? experience in information technology preferred, which includes direct experience in THREE or more of the following environments: Extensive knowledge and/or certification in Microsoft operating systems. Preferably: 2 Server and/or MSCE, MCP, MCSA certification. Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (10.x and above). Knowledge of IBM AIX Operating system. Knowledge of Keystone Core system application, and/or experience with a DB2 relational database. Extensive knowledge and/or certification in VMWare operating systems. Preferably: 6.x vCenter Server and/or VCP certification. Extensive knowledge and/or certification in VMware View desktop operating systems. Preferably: VDI 6.x and/or VCP certification. Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture. Preferably: Cisco IOS, Routers, Palo Alto security devices or Firewalls, Ethernet WAN connectivity over a TCP/IP protocol. Knowledge of data extraction techniques; SQL report writing, script writing preferably; Microsoft Powershell and MS-Excel (pivot tables). Knowledge with any one of the following Internet technologies: VOIP, HTML, Java Script, Web Servers (Ex: Linux or Microsoft Internet Information Server), Telnet/FTP. Knowledge of Relational Databases. Preferably: Microsoft SQL Server. Experience in MS-SQL server deployment and/or standard report writers (Ex: Crystal reports). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Daily supervision and development of information technology operations team. Responsible for the daily operation of software and hardware used to support the Keystone Credit Union enterprise software solution. Develops, monitors, and insures disaster recovery procedures are adequate, updated and tested. Insures regulatory compliance for record retention. Works directly with the Vice President to determine the short and long-range information technology requirements for all of Blue FCU?s systems. Assists with the development of the annual budget for Information Technology needs. Reviews and interprets reports. Oversees the operating procedures for the Information Technology Operations Department and assures they are adequate and up to date. Evaluates and directs implementation of new products and services, including upgrades to all existing computer systems and customer systems. Maintain accurate employee records, perform timely and comprehensive performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions as needed. Develop, motivate and train department personnel. Schedules staff to maximize customer member satisfaction while minimizing overtime. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have strong analytical abilities, and work well under pressure. Requires good written, verbal, inter-personal skills in order to communicate effectively. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must be proficient in a multi-task environment. Exhibit strong decision making skills. Ability to develop, challenge and inspire employees. Manual dexterity to input data on keyboard, [i.e., computer, calculator, telephone, PC, etc.] Must be able to visually interpret data from CRT screen and written documents. Must be able to understand and carry out written and verbal directions. Demonstrates the ability to use appropriate application software.
- Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
- A college degree preferred.
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
- Previous data processing experience including networks, PCs, data communications, mainframe and PC programming and data organization.
- Technical planning, project management and supervisory experience.
- Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other data processing professionals as well as non---technical users.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work and travel independently and use general office equipment, give speeches and make presentations.
