Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive title examinations to determine ownership and encumbrances on oil and gas properties. Prepare title opinions, division order title opinions, and drilling title opinions. Provide legal advice to clients on issues related to oil and gas law, including lease negotiations, acquisitions, divestitures, and dispute resolution. Review and interpret contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to oil and gas operations. Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory hearings. Collaborate with other legal team members to develop strategies and solutions for complex legal issues. Stay up-to-date on changes in oil and gas law and related regulations, and advise clients accordingly. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on oil and gas law. Proven experience in title opinion and title examination, with a strong understanding of oil and gas property rights. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills. Ability to manage a high volume of work and effectively prioritize tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex legal issues. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
