Assesses and manages critically ill patients duringtransport by
ground or rotor.

FTE: 1.0 (80 hours per pay period)
Administers initial treatment at emergency scenes andrecords
patient vital signs.
Transports sick and injured persons to and from
treatmentcenters. Handles 911/bariatric calls as assigned.
Reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs,
treatments,and significant incidents. Drives the ambulance to and
from scenes andtreatment centers.
Adheres to protocols for patient safety goals, fall and
skinprecautions, restraint use, and medication administration.
Identifiesopportunities for practice changes based on current
evidence-based nursingliterature and research findings.
Educates patient and family, using population-specificcriteria.
Provides public education presentations as needed.
Minimum Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursingprogram
if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Required Licensure/Certification: Multi-state eNLC compactRN
license. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider; Advanced
Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Valid Drivers License.
Required within 1 year of hire:
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP); Trauma Nursing Core Course(TNCC)
or Advanced Trauma Nurse Course (ATCN) or Transport
ProfessionalAdvanced Trauma Course (TPATC); Emergency Nursing
Pediatric Course (ENPC).Required within 2 years of hire: Certified
Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) orCertified Transport Registered
3 years critical care nursing experience. Preferred:Critical
care ground, flight, and pediatric nursing experience
