Description and FunctionsOpen Until FilledGENERAL DESCRIPTION:Assist in conducting examinations of trust examinations and related fiduciary risk supervisory activities for non-depository trust companies and trust departments of state-chartered banks. In this role, you will conduct safety and soundness examinations to ensure the financial institutions are abiding by applicable State and Federal laws and regulations governing fiduciary activities.Human Resource Contact: Candice Dillmon 307-###-#### FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.* Assist in ensuring that financial institutions are in full compliance with all State and Federal fiduciary laws and regulations.* Assist in assessing the adequacy of administrative policies, practices, internal controls, and compliance with fiduciary laws and practices.* Perform analysis of complex audited financial statements by verifying compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards (FAS), and regulatory reporting requirements.* Analyze detailed budgets and financial performance projections, strategic plans and initiatives, corporate governance, disaster recovery, and business resumption and continuity plans.* Assist in assessing senior management's capabilities to identify, measure, monitor, and control the risks of an institution's activities and ensure the institution's safe, sound, and efficient operation.* Review and assess the findings of the financial institution's internal and external CPA-prepared audit scope and summary report.* Assess the management ratings; Operations, Internal Controls and Audits; Earnings; Compliance; and Asset Management.* Serve as Case Manager for a portfolio of trust companies. Perform ongoing, offsite review of trust companies' risks and draft quarterly offsite monitoring reports for the Banking Commissioner's review.* Assist in investigations for trust company charter applications.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE:* Knowledge of all Wyoming banking and trust laws and regulations, GAAP accounting, Financial Accounting Standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.* Ability to analyze financial institutions' financial statements, internal and external audit reports, information technology security procedures, underwriting and administration procedures, financial institution operations, internal control procedures, disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans, and compliance with various laws and regulations.* Communicate examination findings with bank and trust company management and/or the Board of Directors, address management concerns, and respond to the audience's questions during the exit meeting.* Interpret various State and Federal financial institution laws and regulations.* Coordinate and manage a team of examiners from the Wyoming Division of Banking or applicable Federal regulatory agency.* Manage multiple tasks concurrently.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)Experience:0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Auditing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Auditor IOREducation & ExperienceSubstitution:3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Auditing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Auditor ICertificates, Licenses, Registrations:NoneNecessary Special RequirementsPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:* Must be able to travel extensively.* Must be able to lift and carry work bags, computers, luggage, etc.NOTES:* FLSA: Exempt* This position requires the completion of a criminal background check.Supplemental Information021-Department of Audit -Division of BankingClick here to view the State of Wyoming Classification and Pay Structure.URL: State of Wyoming is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively supports the ADA and reasonably accommodates qualified applicants with disabilities.Class Specifications are subject to change, please refer to the A & I HRD Website to ensure that you have the most recent version.
