DISH Space Systems in Cheyenne, WY and Gilbert, AZ is looking for a Spacecraft Controller II to support the Dish Network Spacecraft Operations Center by providing state-of-health monitoring, support commanding sessions, initiate troubleshooting procedures for both the ground system and spacecraft. Responsibilities Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to) Perform routine spacecraft operations activities of state-of-health monitoring, telemetry trending, and commanding Maintain and reconfigure the TTC system for optimum performance Maintain a high level of situational awareness of spacecraft state-of-health and broadcast operations activities Coordinate and establish ground system reconfigurations to maintain a robust TTC link capability Determine when controller intervention is appropriate and perform escalation procedures to maintain continuous ground system and spacecraft operations Performs or coordinates maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of operational equipment Basic Requirements High School Diploma Minimum 2 years of satellite operations experience U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status Ability to fulfill a non-traditional 12 hour rotating shift Essential Qualifications Ability to visually monitor computer screens Ability to respond to audible alarms Ability to verbally interact on the telephone Preferred Qualifications Ability to adhere to policies and follow procedures Possess an understanding of a RF equipment chain and basic equipment function. Uses the following types of equipment resources preferred (not all inclusive) spectrum analyzer, windows based pc, and client based computer resource scheduling software.
