Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The Quality Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the delivery of statewide mental health and substance use disorder treatment services and federal grants and developing, analyzing, and reporting quality improvement activities. The duties assigned to this position directly relate to the Division's mission to be 'responsive to the behavioral health needs of Wyoming citizens by developing and overseeing a quality continuum of care that is customer-focused, collaborative, evidence-based, and outcomes-driven. Individuals interested in this position must possess data collection, analysis, and reporting skills to include program evaluation. Preference will be given to applicants who are detail-oriented, demonstrate a willingness and capacity for managing multiple tasks, and prefer to work independently while being a strong and collaborative team member.Human Resource Contact: 307/777-6057ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.Lead the Mental Health and Substance Abuse section's contract monitoring processes.Review and evaluate provider contract compliance and service practices; provide recommendations for improvements.Participate in RFA process, review applications, contract awards to facility/providers for local and regional contracts.Develop a monitoring structure to evaluate contract compliance.Work with unit managers to ensure grant monitoring processes are consistent with federal requirements and conducive to timely and efficient monitoring.Conduct contract compliance monitoring and evaluate provider service delivery in accordance with contracts, rules, regulations, and best practices.Conducts provider on-site reviews with the team in accordance with rules, prepares onsite reports.Provide policy recommendations for funding, contract deliverables, service planning.Participate in quality management activities to include data collection, analysis, and reporting.Work with a team in the development of performance measures, data collection, and reporting.Conduct and review special studies to evaluate service delivery.Review data and information and provide policy recommendations.Coordinate data and information sharing with division staff and stakeholder groups.Assist with data collection and monitoring of federal grants and special initiatives.Manage investigation and complaints processes as defined by Rule. Work in coordination with unit managers and Section Administrator to ensure investigations and complaints are addressed quickly and efficiently.Manage content of external data and information via public websites and media. Qualifications PREFERENCES:Preference may be given to candidates with previous experience in Program Evaluation, Quality Assurance, or Performance Improvement programs. Preference may be given to applicants with a Bachelors in Healthcare, Epidemiology, or Statistics.Preference may be given to applicants with Project Management Credentials.KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.Skill in project management and ability to self-direct.Oral and written communication skills.Data collection, analysis, and reporting skills to include interpretation and evaluation of information to evaluate program performance.Ability to manage diverse and competing stakeholder interests.Ability to work within a team framework.Skill in facilitating workgroups.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's Degree (typically in Healthcare)Experience:0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs)OREducation & ExperienceSubstitution:3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs)Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:None Necessary Special Requirements PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is performed in an average office setting.by Jobble Associated topics: after school, coordinator, day camp, fall, group, neighborhood, ride attendant, science, spring, youth
