The Wyoming Attorney General's Office seeks qualified attorney
applicants interested in providing professional legal
representation to the Department of Workforce Services, including
the Unemployment TaxDivision, Unemployment Insurance Division,
Unemployment Insurance Commission, State Inspector of Mines, and
the State Mining Council in administrative and court proceedings.
The duties of this position include preparing pleadings, motions,
and briefs at trial and on appeal; negotiation; representing the
Department at public hearings and agency business meetings;
presenting evidence at formal administrative hearings; conducting
legal research and drafting legal opinions; reviewing Department
rules and regulations; and reviewing and tracking legislation to
advise the Governor and the Department. As is the case for all
attorneys, this position will also perform other duties as assigned
to meet the Department of Workforce Services' goals and objectives,
the TortLitigation Division, and the Attorney General's Office.
The Attorney General's Office provides attorneys an opportunity

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only
and are not intended to describe every function which may be
performed at the job level.
- This position blends strategic counseling, regulatory and
legislative analysis, and litigation in a multifaceted role.
- The applicant should feel comfortable speaking before courts
and administrative agencies, writing letters and briefs, and
advocating Wyoming's interests to federal and state officials and
the general public.
- The ability to work independently and work collaboratively with
the Wyoming Attorney General's office and Department staff.
- Attend public hearings and business meetings. Adviseclients on
cases, statutes, and rules related to their legal duties and
responsibilities. Provide day-to-day legal advice.
- Represent the State in trials and appeals to state and federal
courts and administrative agencies.

mentorship to ensure that you have the resources and knowledge you
need to succeed.
