Title: Supply Chain Buyer & Demand Planner - Internal Candidates Only
Reports to: VP of Operations & Supply Chain
Location: Remote - Anywhere in the US
Job Summary
Critical, hands-on position to ensure full-cycle supply chain responsibilities from sourcing to fulfillment are maximized with results of high-level quality and effective costs of all goods and services. This person will create strong relationships with internal and external clients related to the design, production, launch, and maintenance of products and training materials.
Essential Job Functions

• 
  
• 
  Maintain day-to-day product availability to avoid backorders and provide a high level of service to our clients.
  
  
• 
  Maintain vendor relationships and ensure vendor's compliance with FranklinCovey requirements.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate with product management and sales teams to understand product sales forecast. Maintain demand plan that balances service level requirements with product obsolescence goals. Ensure that program critical SKUs and pricing are accurate.
  
  
• 
  Lead supplier selection contract negotiations involving Legal and other departments as needed to achieve favorable terms of quality, delivery, and price to ensure end user needs are met.
  
  
• 
  Propose a negotiation strategy and lead the negotiation for all products and services.
  
  
• 
  Manage all variables that contribute to "cost of products sold" and determine methods to achieve product cost reduction goals.
  
  
• 
  Manage time sensitive, custom projects requiring multiple components within a compressed time frame.
  
  
• 
  Responsible to run reports to monitor the accuracy of our systems and satisfy audit requests.
  
  
• 
  Assist with other duties as assigned by the VP of Supply Chain and Operatio
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 
    BS/BA degree in a supply chain or business-related field or equivalent experience negotiating and managing procurement contract spend within a supply chain environment.
    
    
  • 
    Strong ability to lead negotiations with vendors and influence decision-makers.
    
    
  • 
    Ability to develop strong relationship with internal stakeholders and influence decisions
    
    
  • 
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word to generate attractive, informative correspondence and analysis.
    
    
  • 
    Experience with MS Dynamics 365, Salesforce CRM, or other related inventory applications.
    
    
  • 
    Ability to coordinate, plan and prioritize multiple tasks with great accuracy and detail, and work well under pressure.
    
    
  • 
    Excellent problem solving and ability to manage change.
    
    
  • 
    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels at FranklinCovey.
    
    
  • 
    Ability to travel (less than 5%)
    
    
  • 
    Direct FranklinCovey experience required.
