Job Description:
The Junior Production Scheduler will be responsible for ensuring
materials are available to support the production schedule, as well
as, serving as backup for all responsibilities of the Production
Scheduler. Assist with maximizing customer fulfillment, improving
production efficiency, and increasing visibility for internal
stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Updates production schedules as required.
Tracks on hand inventory levels and incoming components from
vendors to ensure all production jobs can be completed as
scheduled.
Coordinates with members of Operations, Supply Chain, Warehousing,
Quality Control, Receiving, and other departments to support the
production schedule.
Facilitates communication and action to resolve supply constraints
and/or bottlenecks.
Identifies and communicates critical issues, gaps, and constraints
to production scheduler.
Orders components from multiple vendors in support of the
production schedule.
Creates and updates work orders.
Strives to eliminate inefficiencies and improve work flows to meet
customer fulfillment targets.
Analyzes and reacts to MRP demand signals, adjusting production
timing and volume appropriately.
Travel up to 20% of the time. Mostly day travel to the Louisville,
CO facility as often as once per week.
Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
(temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.).
Other duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma required. College courses preferred with a
concentration supply chain planning or operations production
management. May be offset by experience.
1-3 years of experience in a supply chain planning role, or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiar with MRP/ERP software, preferred, but not required.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 strongly preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
Ability to problem solve and work efficiently under pressure.
Lean and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Special Skills or Training:
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with a high-volume assembly environment preferred.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks and respond
to highly variable priorities.
Additional:
This position is located in the Cheyenne, WY facility.
This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Competitive salary commensurate to experience.
Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer. The
