Join our global M&A Environmental Due Diligence Practice and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleAs a Consultant, you will conduct Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities or those with long industrial histories. You will liaise with the transaction team to discuss liabilities and assist clients with post-transaction integration. Other tasks include helping clients maintain and achieve environmental regulatory compliance and improve ESG and sustainability performance.Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct environmental due diligence reviews, including compliance reviews, of industrial sites to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other transactions. This includes desktop reviews, site visits, interviews, reviewing historical information, and preparing reports aligned with ASTM standards or tailored to client needs;
  • Provide environmental compliance support across various regulatory areas such as hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater, air emissions, chemical/spill prevention, and Community Right-to-Know regulations. Tasks may include permit transfers and environmental reporting;
  • Travel to facilities for site visits, both locally and nationally;
  • Support multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards;
  • Assist with developing junior team members, contribute to proposals and cost estimates, and manage certain projects.About you
    • B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering, or a B.S./B.A. in environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology. An advanced degree is a plus but not required;
    • At least 2 years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews, preferably for complex industrial sites. Experience with site investigation, remediation, emerging contaminants, health and safety, and ESG is advantageous;
    • Ability to perform site assessments and compliance reviews, with willingness to travel short-term within the USA. Driver's license and ability to travel by air are required;
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients;
