Job Description:
About the Department The Boulder Site is home to the specialized
technical operations/CMC team for oligonucleotides and RNAi
therapeutics. The CMC team works alongside Quality, Regulatory,
Technical Operations and RNAi Early Development professionals at
our Boulder, Colorado facility and works closely with our teams in
Lexington, Massachusetts. Together, we are driving change. Are you
ready to make a difference. The Position To oversee the efficient
running of the laboratory operations and ensure adequate
maintenance of the general laboratory equipment in order to provide
uninterrupted support for lab activities across the Boulder campus.
Relationships Reports to Senior Manager, Facilities Management.
Interacts with all employees at the site and external service
vendors. Essential Functions Asset Management:Assist in
development, implementation and communication of asset management
policies and procedures to site Site administrator for all company
equipment assets; keeping records of specifications, order
information, warranty and service contracts, and maintenance
histories Act as the primary point of contact for equipment owners
and laboratory groups to ensure that laboratory equipment is
functional Coordinate vendor relationships related to equipment
maintenance, calibration, validation, commissioning, and repair
services Align and troubleshoot equipment failures by assessing
root cause and operational impact prior to engaging internal
stakeholders or external service technicians Assist with laboratory
equipment placement, space use and equipment requisition process
Oversee third party laboratory equipment calibrations for CMC and
GMP laboratories. Coordinate, document, and prepare laboratory
calibrations. Prepare sites for transition into internal standards
Laboratory Management:Establishes laboratory procedures and
implements good practices Serve as the primary point of contact
between internal stakeholders and relevant external service
providers Liaison between laboratory users and senior management
for processes and procedures Manage day-to-day laboratory
operations. Including but not limited to; glassware, inventory
management, laboratory work orders, site-wide laboratory
communication Oversee the laboratory equipment lifecycle, including
requisitioning, installation, preventative maintenance planning,
and decommissioning Act as a communication bridge between
scientific staff and senior management regarding laboratory
processes, infrastructure needs, and procedural improvement
Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience,
Associate's degree and 2 years of experience, or High School
diploma and 4 years of experience required Ability to interact with
larger number of researchers to ensure efficient and cooperative
laboratory environment Training and meeting facilitation experience
Competent in use of Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel
Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment Knowledgeable in routine laboratory equipment
maintenance and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions Strong
interpersonal and customer service skills Strong organizational and
planning skills Possess the ability to work across all levels of
the organization; independently and with minimal direction
Meticulous maintenance of laboratory databases The base
compensation range for this position is $70,400 to $123,200. Base
compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This
position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual
and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive
